Man Faces Drug Charges After No-Knock Warrant Search In Orange County

An Orange County man was busted on drug charges by City of Port Jervis Police and the Orange County Sheriff's Office during a "No Knock" search of his apartment.

Carlos Tirado, 31, was nabbed around 7:40 p.m. Thursday, when the officers executed the warrant at his second-floor apartment, said Port Jervis Police Chief William Worden.

During the search of his apartment officers seized a quantity of cocaine, a scale, and packaging materials, Worden said. 

He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, criminal possession of a controlled substance, and criminally using drug paraphernalia. 

Additionally, Tirado was charged with felony reckless endangerment, unlawfully fleeing a police officer, reckless driving, and several vehicle and traffic law violations in connection with an investigation into an incident that occurred on April 16 in which he led police officers on a vehicle pursuit, Worden said.

Tirado is being held at the Orange County Jail on $25,000 bail.
